Student Accomplishments
While we always celebrate students' accomplishments in the classroom, we also want to celebrate what students are accomplishing outside of school as well. An education isn't just found in books or by doing schoolwork, an education encompasses all a student does in their life. Here are some students who have accomplished great things.
Addie Cramer
Addie Cramer and her team Stingray Allstar Orange Large All Girl Level 6 won their 10th World Championship. Over 11,000 athletes, 544 teams from 18 countries! She is a back-to-back World Champion!

Maddie Ratliff
Maddie was the recipient of the 2021 Governor's Volunteer Star Award for Greene County Youth. This was awarded to her based on her volunteer work that she has performed throughout East Tennessee. This Fall, Maddie was crowned the 2021 "Fairest of the Fair" in Greene County and will be competing against 49 other fair winners for the Tennessee's Fairest of the Fair Title in January. She was also the runner-up in the Miss East Tennessee/Miss Greene County Scholarship Competition and won a combined total of $1500 in scholarships. She has also been awarded Academic/Equestrian Scholarships, this fall, (so far, she has been offered $100,300) and has been accepted to compete on a handful of College Equestrian Teams.

Jessie Nestor & Ainslee Davenport
Congratulations to Jessie Nestor and Ainslee Davenport on being Finalists for the 2020 Barter Playwright Festival. Great Accomplishment!
Freddy Tolar
Freddy had a successful year competing with the Gravity Academy team in Downhill and Enduro mountain bike racing. This was his first year racing Downhill and he was the overall series winner for the 2021 Downhill Southeast Cat 2/3 Junior Men 16-18. For his second year racing Enduro, he was the 2021 Regional Go Nuts Racing enduro series Expert 15-18 Champion. Downhill mountain bike racing is when you descend the mountain negotiating difficult terrain in an individual race against the clock. The fastest time wins. Enduro is a cross between endurance and downhill. There are usually 4 or more stages of timed downhill racing. The uphill is mandatory, but not timed. Freddy spends at least 15 hours per week training. Any other free time is spent working on his mountain bikes. For 2022 he will be moving up to the Downhill Cat 1 (Expert) category. His goal will be to qualify for the USAC Downhill National Championship.

Tristan Razote
The Tennessee STEM Innovation Network invited students across the state to participate in the first annual Coding Marathon in December. "Mimicking the number of miles in a marathon, students will engage in 26.2 hours of curated computer science activities that encourage problem solving using foundational CS practices, such as abstraction, debugging, algorithms, decomposition, and pattern recognition. The Coding Marathon will include both plugged and unplugged activities and can be completed at home, in school, or as a component of a hybrid learning model. Students will have three weeks to complete and log the required hours."
Tristan signed up and completed the coding marathon. Tristan received both a certificate and a medal. Congratulations to Tristan for completing the coding marathon in the first ever coding marathon offered through TSIN.

Drew Sliker
TOPS would like to congratulate our very own Drew Sliker who signed recently with Baylor University Acrobatics and Tumbling. Drew came to TOPS in August 2018 so she could balance a rigorous focus on both her sports and education. Since coming to TOPS Drew has not only signed her letter of intent with Baylor, but also has managed to maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
