October 2026 Energy Saving Tip
As the weather changes, our homes start using more energy to stay comfortable. This month, we're challenging our TOPS Wolves to become Thermostat Detectives!
Ask your family:
🌡️ What temperature is our thermostat set to?
🪟 Are there doors or windows letting warm air escape?
☀️ Can we use sunlight to naturally warm a room?
🧥 Could we grab a sweatshirt before turning up the heat?
🐺 Family Challenge
Pick one day this month to see how your family can stay comfortable while using less energy. Keep track of what you changed and what you noticed.
And on Dark Mode Day, remember: we're not just wearing dark colors, we're shining a light on the choices we make every day that affect energy use. ⚡

August 2026 Energy Saving Tip
Working from home means devices are working hard all day! At the end of each school day, make it a family habit to:
💻 Shut down computers instead of leaving them in sleep mode.
🔌 Unplug chargers and electronics that aren't in use.
💡 Turn off lights when leaving a room.
🌞 Open blinds during the day to use natural sunlight instead of electric lighting.
Small daily habits can make a big difference on your energy bill while teaching children the importance of conserving energy. Every watt counts!
