Miss Erica doesn’t just teach—she inspires. From her roots in New Jersey to her time teaching reading with the Peace Corps in South America, she brings a world of experience (literally!) to our TOPS students every day. 🌍📚

We are so lucky to have a teacher who is as passionate about "giving back" as she is about her students' success. Whether she’s fueling up with coffee, sharing a story about her travels, or telling us about her Chihuahua, Uma, she makes 4th grade a fun and adventurous place to be! 🐾☕✈️

A proud East Tennessee native and graduate of East Tennessee State University, Mrs. Howell is passionate about helping young learners grow, especially in Language Arts. When she’s not teaching, she enjoys antiquing, reading, cheering on the Vols, and spending time with her family—including her two adorable corgis, Wilson and Winnie! 🐾

From her love of coffee and springtime to her favorite book series (Harry Potter!), Mrs. Howell brings her personality and warmth into everything she does, creating a classroom where students feel excited to learn and be themselves.
