The Greeneville City Schools Board of Education has selected Dr. Matthew Drinnon as the district’s new Director of Schools following a 3–2 vote.
Dr. Drinnon brings a strong background in education and school leadership to the position, with experience focused on supporting student achievement, strengthening instructional practices, and fostering positive school environments. During the selection process, he shared a vision centered on student success, collaboration with educators, and maintaining the high standards for which Greeneville City Schools is known.
As he steps into this role, Dr. Drinnon will lead the district forward, building on its tradition of academic excellence while working closely with teachers, staff, families, and the broader community.
